Gasoline prices shooting for the moon…

That’s right, remember I posted a while back that things were not going to be getting any better. Within the next two weeks, if not sooner, Hi-test or High Octane gasoline will top the $4.00 mark in California. We won’t be far behind, after all, Maine likes to follow along on Commifornias coattails in almost every way.

There continues to be some inane attitude that the price of gasoline is directly linked to the Arabs and Bush’s ties to the oil industry. Hogwash. The price of anything is linked to everything. One of the problems is not the production of oil, but who is willing to pay the most for it. Right now, because of over regulation and over taxation in the US, developing countries are ripe for exploitation and growth. China is becoming the new world pawn in the oil game. They need it to fuel their burgeoning industrial trade. That is the real reason behind the price hike. Simply put, if want the price to come down, stop buying made in China products.

Meanwhile, since you’re so obsessed with the high oil prices, I’ll bet you missed the increasing costs of food, didn’t you? Other retail prices are climbing as well. As the mortgage debacle continues and more credit companies loose precious income while defaults climb, the country continues to spiral into a worldwide economic depression. In my mind, the only thing that will cure this trend will be if the US restores the level of power we once held over the world. There are a lot of things we can do to accomplish this, but the most important one is to stop the bickering the Liberal Left seems intent upon, and start working as the United States of America again. Anyways, here’s a few bits of news…..
