From a prophetic standpoint, I am convinced that we do indeed stand upon the threshold of the second coming of Christ. Much of the book of John’s Revelation indicates that what we are seeing today certainly fits the bill for the end times recipe. I know there are many who would disagree with me, but I don’t object at all. Dialogue is an important aspect of learning. But what does disturb me is some of the people that do disagree, and their reasons for doing so. In particular are those who profess to be Christian, when in reality, they are merely living a moral, (in picture only), and upright life. Take the current brouhaha concerning the Lutheran denomination and their decision to accept non-celibate gays into the ministry. Just where in the scriptures does it say that this is acceptable?

But this situation merely points towards the fact that society is indeed changing, especially from a religious point of view. We are slowly coming to the belief that what is wrong is really OK, and it isn’t. by accepting these beliefs we are merely secularizing our religion, and thus destroying the church of God on earth. Very soon we will all be of one mindset, giving ourselves over to the smooth lilting promises of the spirit of the Antichrist. Part of this process will require the creation of a worldwide police state. Many have poo-pooed(how’s that for polite?) the idea that one world government is merely the idea held by schizophrenic nut-jobs that a major conspiracy is evolving to take over the world.

There is indeed a form of one world government coming, but it will be more along the lines of a spiritual order, not a physical order as some would presume it will be. Revelation 17:15 says that “…The waters which you saw are peoples, multitudes, nations and tongues…” This indicates to me that while the world will be of one mind in opposition to Christ, there will still be division in the world by way of many countries and cultures. But that day is upon us, and one of the ways that we will be forced to go along, if you will, with the rest of humanity will be by the implementation of a police style state. There are many definitions of what a police state is, but there is one definition which places a specific definition that holds with much of what we see today in action.

This definition is from The Encyclopedia of Public Health:

The term “police power” refers to the right of a government to exercise “reasonable control over persons and property” to protect the public’s health and safety. Police powers are rooted in English common law, extending back at least four centuries. While police departments took their name from these powers, police departments, with their focus on crime, were not widely used until the nineteenth century. Police powers are closely related to the state’s power to protect itself from outside forces. The authority derives from the notion of societal self-defense.

Police power is best understood in contrast with the parens patria power: the power to protect individuals for their own benefit. Confining dangerous mentally ill individuals to protect the public is a police power, while confining individuals for their own protection is a parens patria power. The state’s authority to restrict individual liberty is much greater when it is done to protect the public. Thus, the state has considerable power to prevent the spread of tuberculosis, but not to force a person to take medication for hypertension.

Police power allows the destruction or restriction of property that poses a threat to the public, without paying compensation. It also includes the right to act without a court hearing or other due process protections, when necessary, to protect the public’s health. Aggrieved persons can contest such actions through habeas corpus proceedings and other post-restriction proceedings. Some states have limited their police powers by legislation and state constitutional provisions.

Over this past Labor Day weekend, many communities had law enforcement agencies that held what are commonly called “sobriety checkpoints.” Of course, I’m sure there were at least a few inebriated drivers picked up, but I have a problem with this sort of activity taking place. Unfortunately, the public embraces such behavior because we have been led to believe that it is in our best interest. The stops were not directed towards drivers whom the police suspected were inebriated, they were directed at everyone, without just cause. Some communities did random checks, only stopping one out of every so many cars, or some similar formula.

The constitution says that a citizen of this nation have certain rights and freedoms. Amendment 4 – Search and Seizure of the Bill of Rights says; The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. By stopping drivers at random, the police departments violate the precepts of this part of our Constitution. There is no probable cause when they set up a roadblock and force every driver to proceed through that roadblock. On September 1st, Governor Baldacci signed an executive order that says the threat is serious enough to warrant a proclamation of a civil emergency, setting the stage for the various state agencies to force the citizens of Maine to undergo vaccination, and possibly forced isolation to combat this illness that the WHO, a puppet of the United Nations, claims is pandemic. This means that if you do not wish to take this vaccine, you can and will be placed under house arrest, or worse.

But we accept it because we have been led to believe that the police departments are taking dangerous persons off the road. And they do so without complying with Constitutional requirements. When you go through a roadblock, you are no longer secure in your property, and you are being searched without probable cause. But we accept it.

And today, we are faced with a growing concern over the disposition of the nefarious H1N1 swine flu illness. On September 1st, Governor Baldacci signed an

There is a certain level of risk involved in taking this vaccine, and due to the fact that the government has agreed with the UN’s WHO recommendation that approval for this drug to be fast tracked through the approval process. Many of the dangers will be unknown, as the testing will be less than required to assure its safety. An interesting series from the Examiner can be found here. What is most interesting is the idea that many states, as well as the Federal government are considering the uncommon process of imposing martial law to force the population to ingest this untried vaccine. But as in the case of drunk drivers and roadblocks, most of the public will probably consent simply because we are being led to believe it is our best interest, or for the public safety.

And as we accept more and more of this to happen, we will gradually allow the police state to become part of our everyday lives. And once that has occurred, we shall be of one mind. To accept is to permit, and to permit is to consent, and to consent is to agree. Will you agree to become part of the new world order? Will you agree to accept this untried vaccine, even though it may well kill many people, and cause serious illnesses and side affects to many more? Or will you disagree, and become an outcast to society as we survive the coming times?
